So, here is this shot of Dali, taken for Playboy. It kind of fascinates me—both the use of what I’d consider Chinese ghost masks and the odd wallpaper in the background only adding to the complexity of the photograph. Why is Dali pointing to the vulva of the model on the far right? Or is he in fact gesturing towards something too horrible for words somewhere out of the frame. Also, where did he get his shirt? It is awesome.
