Sean over at MAKE posted this great Instructables project, by fellow MAKE writer Tim Anderson, about making a gourd portrait based on the unbelievable work of Zhang Cairi. As Sean points out, the possibilities are virtually endless!

Jupiter and its moons; Io, Europa, Ganymede, and Callisto.
One of the first photos that got me lots of followers was this one right here, of Io. Seriously, I might just need to do a whole week (maybe in the Summer - I’m waaay to busy right now) dedicated to the different moons in our solar system.
I did do a week dedicated to Io in 2010.

Mimas
Mimas is a moon of Saturn which was discovered in 1789 by William Herschel. The low density of Mimas, 1.15 g/cm³, indicates that it is composed mostly of water ice with only a small amount of rock. Due to the tidal forces acting on it, the moon is not perfectly spherical; its longest axis is about 10% longer than the shortest. The ellipsoidshape of Mimas is especially noticeable in recent images from the Cassini probe.
